Latvian currency is the Latvian Lats (symbol: LVL)

Exact exchange rates from the official Bank of Latvia can be found on www.bank.lv. (The rates can differ depending on bank or currency exchange point).

Currency exchange shops are located all over the city (can be identified by the sign "Valūtas maiņa" in Latvian language), most of them offer exchange from and to most of the currencies.

Each currency exchange shop offers different exchange rates and it's important to check the rates before choosing where to exchange your money.
The exchange rates are presented on a sign (different rates for buy and for sell).
