Rabarber |
Rabarber is a plant with large leaves, its Stalk is edible and very much liked in Latvia.
Rabarber is used different types of food (mostly sweet), for example: cakes, Jam, and even Ice Cream.
The plant Rabarber cannot be found in the wild but can be bought in some shops and in the Central Market.
Note: According to Latvian people it is NOT recommended to eat the plant after the date of the Jani (23'th of June) because it gathers acid in its leaves and after this approximate date, the plant is no longer healthy as food.
