Old oak tree

Under the Riga Town Hall building (destroyed during WWII, rebuilt in 2003) is a narrow cobble-stoned street where one can find small souvenir and flower shops and some old oak tree laying on the ground. It was found during the excavation works and was preserved. In a small plaque it says that when this oak tree was growing in Riga 3500 years ago, it was the same time, when Tutanhamon was ruling in Egipt. Can imagine? The same time! :)
